Ice, rest, meds.: Assume this is not from a trauma, but rather overuse. The usual treatment includes rice, rest, ice, compress, and elevate for most soft tissue injuries. Get more detail: Unusual at your age. Constantly "goes" numb (meaning recurrent) or constantly "is" numb (does not resolve)? Big difference. Have someone help you to test where you are numb and then try to draw a circle around the numb area. Repeat over a few days to see if the area is constant or changes. Do same for tingling. Contraindicated? Eh-: Hard to be sure without an exam but it seems enticing to say the symptoms are consistent with an observed anatomical defect. CONTRAINDICATED?
