That could be tough: In that it doesn't sound like a disease process. No headaches? No new scalp products? Hair not pulled too tight? Have u been grinding your teeth at night? Cutaneous allodynia: Cutaneous allodynia is the scalp tenderness and pain with hair movement that can happen when a migraine has gone on for a while until there is "central sensitization." Temporal arteritis?: If your head about 1-1.5 inches off of the midline at the base of the skull on the same side is NOT tender then you likely do not have an occipital neuralgia. If you have a relatively new pain, fever, chills, very tender to pressure over the right temple, I would wonder about a temporal arteritis altho unlikely.
