Need to wear 7 day cardiology event monitor. Allergic to cheap silver electrodes. No possibility of alternative electrodes. Any ideas? Antihistamines?

Need to wear 7 day cardiology event monitor. Allergic to cheap silver electrodes. No possibility of alternative electrodes. Any ideas? Antihistamines?

Topical cortisone: Consider applying topical cortisone at the electrode site 2x daily 3 days prior. I don't know whether these patches can be replaced or re-inserted or not. If yes, then you can apply the cortisone cream at the site daily then reapply the patch after the cream has dried up (hair dryer?). Perhaps a cardiologist in this panel can provide more details on the technical aspect of it. ...Read more

@time of fitting front temp (#9) on post (w/++grafts), Dr saw no contact w/lower bite. But I can feel lower tooth contact temp. Will this harm implant?

May be harmful: If the implant was placed and temporary attached the same day, contact with temp can be problematic as micromovement of implant is greatest source of failure the 1st 3-4 weeks of implant placement. I would avoid all contact with temp until you verify with your doctor. ...Read more

Pediatricians. Hand door mouth. Medication not keeping fever down. 102.4 and still 40 min till next dose. Alternating acet& ib profin e3hr. What do?

Don't look...: ...At the temperature; look at the child. Fever under 106 does not harm the child, but overdosing on meds might. Dehydration is a bigger problem; if you have a choice between a teaspoon of fever medicine and a glass of water, give the water. Emergency room is for children with seizures, severe vomiting, severe lethargy or irritability, breathing difficulty - not for a number on the thermometer. ...Read more

Turf toe. Need inserts for dress shoes. What OTC material is best? Gel, foam? Pain exacerbated recently.

Go w/ rigid support: Believe it or not, you should buy something that will provide rigid support of the joint. The rigid support will prevent the toe from hyperextending while the tendons/ ligaments have a chance to heal. (www.Drmarkgalland.Com 10/16/2012). ...Read more

Would sea bond or cushion grip b better choice for temp fix for bottom denture causing sores? Dentist is closed & can't keep them in. They rub sore

Temporary fix only: As a temporary fix, since your dentist is closed and you need to keep the denture in your mouth, c-bond would provide some relief from the pressure and hurt less. However, it needs to be emphasized that this is only a temporary measure, you need an evaluation by your dentist as soon as possible. ...Read more

Gel heel liner: There are so many shapes and sizes of feet that shoe manufacturers cannot possibly make shoes for every need. What i would recommend you do is find a shoe that fits your toes and then purchase a gel heel liner that goes into the back of the shoe to help snug the shoe around the heel. You can search online for gel heel liners and you will likely find a company that sells them.N. ...Read more

Rubber grip vs screw: Click tight dentures grip low profile attachment on the heads of dental implants. Dentists often use "locator attachments" which utilize replaceable rubber o-rings located inside the denture. As a removable system, they are more prone to material degradation and need periodic maintenance. They can be removed and cleaned! all on 4 systems are screwed in place, more sturdy but less hygienic. ...Read more
