What can I do to tighten the lower abdominal muscles, that is, around the belly button area?

What can I do to tighten the lower abdominal muscles, that is, around the belly button area?

Abdominal exercise: While sit-ups can increase abdominal muscle mass they will only minimially help you loose stomach fat, if any. To lose adipose tissue work on a cardio mix (walking, running, biking, swimming, circuit training, etc - mix it up). Keep in mind that you can not target one specific area of the body to loose weight, and over time the adipose will decrease in many areas of your body (stomach included). ...Read more

3days ago I had a bowel movement an got nausea since then I've had constant nausea and a tight knot feeling about 2fingers above belly button?

Acid-peptic disorder: This sounds like about the right location for acid-related stomach lining irritation. I'm glad this is "just" nausea and a tightness in the epigastrium rather than vomiting blood and stabbing pain through to the back. Reasonable initial treatment would be any acid-reducing medication like pepcid, zantac, (ranitidine) prilosec, or prevacid. Avoid trigger foods like chocolate, coffee, caffeine, and tobacco. ...Read more

Feeling tight and cramps just below the belly button, nausea. Low fever of 99.7. Sometimes feel heavy in lower ab. Not pregnant.?

Negative preg test: If you had a negative pregnancy test, my best guess would be that you are suffering from a mild GI infection/irritation, which is not terribly uncommon. It coukd even be a reaction to something you ate. Try to take it easy with what you eat if you feel like eating, sticking with blander foods like toast, oatmeal, soup, crackers. If it gets worse or nausea/vomiting/bad diarrhea- see your doctor. ...Read more

Why does my belly button itch?

Why does my belly button itch?

Contact dermatitis: The most common cause I see for itching in that area is allergy to a metal, usually nickel. Most people wear a metal belt buckle, or have a metal snap and/or zipper on their pants, and if you're allergic to the metal in that buckle or snap, it will cause itching. Another possibility is that you may have gotten an irritating substance of some sort trapped inside your belly button. ...Read more
