Tightness In Toe
I used to run with shoes a bit tight at toe end. Now my right toe turns black..Its like blood clot. What shall i do?
Toe or toenail?: Is the actual toe turning black or just the nail? If just the nail, this is probably not serious. It is most likely just bleeding or dried blood beneath the nail plate, you may eventually lose the nail, but a new one will grow in over time. If it is the toe itself, then a clot or circulation compromise may be the cause and that is more serious. Consult a foot specialist who can better evaluate. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Wore shoes tight on little toe for 4 wks. 3mths of toe and outside edge painful, hypersensitive. Can't tolerate touch. Neuroma? Stress f? Injection?
Evaluate & Treat.: It sounds like the nerve has been traumatized by the excessive pressure. I don't think that it is as bad as a neuroma, but a severe neuritis is entirely possible. There could be an issue with the bone, so an x-ray would be warranted. I would think that three months should have allowed the condition to at least partially resolve. Next would be to try NSAIDS, PT followed by a steroid injection. ...Read more
