Not sure about the neck pain, but your other symptoms bring to mind stroke/TIA (transient ischemic attack) or heart rhythm problem (arrhythmia), given your age & high cholesterol. Stiff neck: Can be the result of irritation of the linings surrounding the brain (meninges) Chronic infections can occur in susceptible people (eg: immunodeficiency). I would agree this needs a complete evaluation SOONER rather than later.

New or old?: Severe headaches such as migraine can cause vision changes/blurry vision. Muscle/tendon/cervical spine problems can cause neck pain which can trigger headaches/migraines. If this has been ongoing for long time, I suspect cervical disc/muscle problems to cause headaches etc. If this is sudden/new, carotid-disection (bleeding into wall of vessel) and cause your symptoms.
