Need more info: At your age & ability to perform intense exercise, your symptoms are not likely coronary. Does your heart skip beats? Do you have to stop running? Does the distress clear with rest? Several possibilities. The pain may be related to irritation of the pleura (lining of the lung) or ribs or muscles around the scapula.
A chest x-ray would be a good start but may not show any abnormalities. Have your physician examine you & if pain is significant consider other tests eg: ct or mri

Look elsewhere: Your doctor has made the determination that your pain is not of cardiac origin. There are many other non-cardiac possibilities including rotator cuff pain, tendinitis (in the shoulder), cervical spondylitis, bursitis and many GI causes like gerd and peptic ulcer disease. Chest pain can mean many things. Other factors to take into consideration are age, history of high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, family history etc. Cardiac issues need to be ruled out. Also, muscle pain or even acid reflux can account for your symptoms. The bottom line is to be evaluated bu your doctor asap for a complete exam and testing.
