Tightness In Forehead
I have mild pressure/tightness on forehead & face all the time, for 8 years. I feel better only when I bow my head looking on floor. What could it be?
Forehead pressure: What happens when you lie down or sleep? Could be sinusitis, allergies, reflux, try prevecid, keep food diary as when it worsens -diary, gluten soy may be culprits. Could be-trigeminal/cervical/TMJ (press bone by ear)irritation , or rarely may be heart ASD or aortic stenosis have murmurs that improve with decreased flow ( just areas to check-do not decrease flow) Would get echocardiogram, f/u w/d ...Read more
Recurrent ear infection, wax blockage, during suction today felt the air around eye area, after suction tightness around forehead & mild vessel promnent?
Can ear infection with blockage from wax cause tightness around forehead, slight confusion and small amount of difficult breathing?suctions done 6times
Cerumen impaction: I would not attribute the symptoms you mention to suctioning the ear canal of cerumen. It is commonly done with no adverse effects other than discomfort, possible abrasion to the ear canal, and in rare cases an outer ear infection from an aggressive ear cleaning or difficult ear to clean. ...Read more
What could cause a tight feeling across forehead? It feels like I still have my eyemask ontop of my head. Have experienced it before & dr unsure cause
Muscle contractions: the tight muscles sound like muscle contractions, so look in the mirror and see if you notice any wrinkling/frowning. I am like your doctor and am not sure what it is. Such issues we call a transient sensory neuropathy. Hopefully it is transient and goes away. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
For 2 weeks I have had tightness around my forehead and temples. Also feeling out of body. I recently was diagnosed with astigmatism. What's wrong?
Get corrective lens: If you're not wearing glasses, or contact lenses to correct your astigmatism, it may be tightening the muscles around your forehead and temples. You may be experiencing an eyestrain pattern. So the sooner that you can have the astigmatism corrected, the better you will feel in the body, and reduce the overall tension around your eyes. ...Read more
Why do I feel like i'm about to loose control of my body and tightness in my forehead when i laugh too hard? Could it be a anxious panic reaction?
Could be anxiety: Healthy laughter is a response that generally releases stress. Often we do it when we see ourselves in someone else's situation -- hence the popularity of sit-com tv shows. This kind of laughter engages us with others in our mutual human predicament. We do loosen up when laughing, and if anxious about this you could fear "laughing too hard." a therapist could help you with these concerns. ...Read more

Is it safe to tie a scarf tight around your forehead to get rid of the headache? And why does it make my head feel better to do this?
Should be safe: It should be safe, just make sure it is not so tight that it cuts the circulation. The reason it helps is because many of our headaches are tension type headaches, in which muscle spasm may also be a culprit. Tightening the scarf is somewhat like massage and relaxing the muscles so it helps. Other things helpful would be relaxation, meditation and obviously if no contraindications tylenol. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Tight forehead for years left to middle forehead .Tinnitus right ear. When i massage face or shoulders. My left ear moves up&down.Scar in front of ear
Approaches: I agree w earlier info. In addition, consider scar treatment for the scar that is anterior to your ear. It may be adhesive & respond well to acupuncture scar deactivation with or without e-stim or scar injection (not with steroids). Additionally, seeing ENT is a must for chronic tinnitus. Looks like you have already been diagnosed with stress headaches (does that mean tension headache?) you >>. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
