Neurologist: Numbness in the face, if truly present, is a manifestation of vth cranial nerve disease. Therefore, it is hard to have pain and numbness at the same time. But with the tightness of the cheek and pain and numbness on one side of the face, i would definitely see a neurologist for proper diagnosis and treatment. ...Read more

Possibly swelling : You should bring your symptoms up with all doctors that are giving you medication. The finding could be a warning that your migraine is about to start, it could be medication-related, and with the description of the strea it could be that you have intermittent swelling of that area with numbness when swollen and the stria when not.
