Is there is any his-: Tory of injury or infection of the arm/forearm areas? Tight muscles probably would result from severe scarring, either injury/surgery or infections. An infrequent but bad problem would be a compartment syndrome ( from an injury, compression of a cast) can certainly cause tightness of the forearm. Muscle pain: For the muscle spasm you can alternate warm and cold compresses. 20 mins each one with the 20 in break in between. You can always try Motrin or Tylenol (acetaminophen).
