Cold virus: The cold virus can cause these symptoms. I would take some ibuprofen and sudafed (as long as you don't have high blood pressure) for 1-2 days. If the clogged, ringing sensation continues despite that, then see your doctor or urgent care. Probable allergies: Itchy ears could be caused by wax or eczema. Sometimes there is no obvious reason. Prescribed cortisone drops usually are very effective. Sore throat and congested nose could be caused by viruses, bacterias and allergies. Allergies are very common. Inflammation: What you described is consistent with inflammation of the nasal sinuses. It the issue does not resolve in a week, it would be prudent to see an ENT specialist. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. No q-tips in the ears please! to clean your ears let soap and water flood your ears in the shower, then tilt your head and let it run out.
