That's a need for MD: Best solution would be to have this examined by a professional (family doctor), and throat cultured and assessed. Upper respiratory tract infections may well be due to virus, bacteria, etc. You might try using a netti-pot or nasal saline spray along with a decongestant and nsaid. Have a cold, pain in ears, hearing became muffled, keeps switching from both ears, specks of blood in ear wax?
Otitis externa?: Unless your eardrums have been perforated, there should not be blood in the earwax . The presence of blood suggests that you have been sticking something into the ear canal and the trauma is causing the bleeding. Alternatively, water might have got into your ear causing an infection. Nasal congestion/ear: May be TMJ (temporomandibular joint) syndrome ( do you feel cracking when placing fingers in front of ears and opening mouth?) or possibly gastrointestinal reflux -can try prevacid /ranitidine if not allergic or just an upper respiratory infection or sinusitis/otitis. Likely noncaddiac: Normal heart beats can frequently be heard by patients when they lie on their side or ear. It's a common complaint i hear in the office. We title it "cardiac awareness". Uncertain why it manifests itself to patients when it does. I suspect this is not a cardiac abnormality. Headaches obviously shouldn't be treated lightly.
