Tibialis anterior has been feeling weak recently. Reduced range of motion. Ran today. And now it's spasming. No pain so far. Super worried it's MND.

Difficult to say: It is difficult to say without an exam but unless you have suffered a major trauma to you leg i think problems with ankle extension would be unlikely. You would need a severe, deep laceration thru all of the anterior compartment musculature to affect function significantly after healing. If you have such a wound you should definitely be seen by an orthopedic surgeon. ...Read more

Possibly: I have been in practice for well over 20 years and I have never seen such a hernia. That doesn't mean it couldn't happen. Regardless, it is usually not serious. ...Read more

Ski boots tend to put considerable pressure directly over the area of your foot and ankle that is home to your tibialis anetrior tendon. Skiing is a great sport, but chronic tendinitis may diminish the fun due to pain. Swelling around your ankle will potentially make boot fitting difficult. ...Read more
