Not to worry: If you have a thyroidectomy, they will give you thyroid replacement, and when adjusted properly, your thyroid level will be normal, and it will have no impact on weight. Please clarify: Hi. What do you mean by "tyrosine thyroid"? Tyrosine is an amino acid used in thyroid cells to synthesize thyroid hormone and the thyroid is a gland.
