I started having problems 7 mths ago. Back pain, neck pain, tingling in limbs, now lip twitching. Any suggestions? Mri showed no lesions.

What you are experiencing could be an phenomenon related to nerve regeneration. You may watch and wait. If the symptoms do not improve in three weeks or so, it would be prudent to see your doctor.

Not herpes: Herpes doesn't cause lip twitching. And unless you caught oral herpes at the same time you acquired your genital HSV2 infection, it is unlikely you have oral HSV2. Most "twitching" of small muscles (in the lip or anywhere else) is called benign fasciculation. It's harmless and usually doesn't indicate any important health problem. It can be due to injury, irritation, stress and intake of caffeine & alcohol. In my experience most cases are due to hyperventilation 2/2 stress which could cause transient drop in blood calcium,
My suggestion would be to decrease Caffeine and alcohol intake, try meditation and relaxation. Make sure you Potassium level is ok and your Thyroid function is normal (u said it were).
