Thyroid nodule from 4x4x3 mm's to 6×5×3mm's in 1 year follow up . Is that something to worried about size change? normal tsh's . do i need biopsy?

Less than 1 cm: Thyroid nodules are benign > 90% of the time. A small change of 2 mm may simply be variation in measurement. Additionally all tumors benign and malignant increase in size. In general growths less than 1 cm are usually monitored with ultrasound and a needle biopsy is performed if growing > 1 cm or sooner with concerning findings/calcifications on ultrasound. ...Read more

That TSH: While technically normal is considered by many to be slightly high relative to your age. Discuss it with your rotor. Hypothyroidism can increase prolactin somewhat. If you're taking cabergoline, it needs to be taken twice a week to be effective. ...Read more

Not likely: Ultrasound exams are performed by trained technicians and supervised by physicians on site, so a mix up is unlikely. It is, however, common for many people to have multinodular goiter, meaning many cysts on both sides of the gland. These are usually benign & require no further evaluation.
