Thyroid Hypoechoic Process Consistent With A Cyst
What is a small thyroid gland and of diffusely heterogeneous echotexture with a multiobulated contour?
A cyst is a structure or mass that consists of a cellular lined sac. It is typically filled with fluid but may be filled with solid material. It can be congenital, traumatic, or acquired. They may develop nearly anywhere in the body and usually require complete excision for eradication or they are likely to recur. Fluid filled sacs that are not cellular lined ...Read more
I have a heterogeneous hypoechoic thyroid nodule with solid components, internal vascularity and calcifications. Is there a chance this is cancer?
I have a complex cystic ovarian mass with mural nodularity measuring 4.1 cm. Is this suspicious for malignancy?
Ultrasound of liver shows a 2.4x1.5x3.2cm hypoechoic, avascular mass with internal debris may represent a complex cyst. Any cause for concern?
Some: Some, but not a whole lot. If indeed this is a complex cyst, these are common and benign. In cases where there's ambiguity (when you see the word "may,") then depending on symptoms and sometimes lab values, this study would either be repeated in time to assess for change, or a more detailed imaging technique such as CT or MRI would be used to evaluate the lesion in more detail without waiting. ...Read more
I had a thyroid ultrasound that found a circumscribed solid heterogeneous largely isoechoic nodule with cystic mild internal color flow 26x16x19?
What is a innocuous and isoechoic thyroid nodule.
Also what is a heterogenous nodule with tiny cystic spaces, it measures 0.7cm?
Hard to say: It's hard to say without seeing the actual images. An isoechoic nodule is typically nonspecific and potentially falls in the indeterminate range (ie need follow up or biopsy). Same thing for a heterogenous "nodule" with tiny cystic spaces. A "complex cyst" with tiny cystic spaces can be a sponge like cyst that is typically benign. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
I have a 2.4 heterogeneous hypoechoic solid nodule with cystic components and no increased vascularity or internalcalcification on thyroid. Is it bad?
I have a 2.7 CM complex solid nodule with coarsened calcifications in the midpole with mild intranodular flow...could this be cancer?
Possible: Not sure of the area, please follow-up with your doctor ...Read more
Ultrasound showed liver with mild coarsened echotexture and a hypoechoic well-circumscribed lesion . Is this a cyst?
Is a heterogeneously hypoechonic nodule 1.4x1.1x1.1cm thyroid nodule with microlobulated margins with no calcifications is a possible malignant one?
No definite answer.: There's no way to know from an ultrasound whether a thyroid nodule is malignant or benign. Don't be fooled by Radiologist - all imaging is limited in its ability to diagnose these conditions. The only way to tell for certain about malignancy is to undergo a biopsy. In the mean time, an iodine uptake-and-scan could help. You'll need blood tests & the help of an endocrinologist as well. Use HT Prime ...Read more
Thyroid follicular lesion 2.4cm solid circumscribed with mild vascularity.Thyroseq pending Can this test show a definite benign? what's circumscribed
Postmenopausal with a complex mixed solid cystic lesion measuring 27mm on my left ovary with some internal vascularity. Should I be concerned?
I have large thyroid nodule with microcalcifications and an additional solid hypoechic nodule. Is this indicative of malignancy?
Would a hysterectomy be wise with an ultrasound result (premenopausal) complicated hypoechoic cyst on ovary and endometrial stripe of 12.9 mm?
Probably unwise but: A careful medical history and evaluation of your signs and symptoms by a Gyn (including a better description of the size, vascular pattern, blood flow, Doppler characteristics of the ovarian cyst...) would seem wiser. The 12.9 mm findings of your "premenopausal"endometrial lining would also need to be correlated with the day of your menstrual cycle. It too may be normal and need only a reevaluation ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
What is nodule with posterior acoustic enhancement but with internal echoes which may represent complex cyst?
Ultrasound: It sounds like you had an ultrasound of your abdomen? It is difficult to give a proper answer without the full radiologic report. Cysts are common findings in the human body. ...Read more
3cm hyperechoic thyroid nodule with increased vascularity, normal TSH fnac- follicular cell with hyperplastic area. What it indicates?
Uncertain: The fna can only help if it shows cancer. But in your case it is ambiguous, so your doctor should guide you what to do next?...What did he/she suggest as the next step? Most doctors would next recommend either surgical excision or monitor closely for some time and see if it is growing in size in which case it has to be taken out. ...Read more
What does a Lt ovarian complex cyst showing internal septation with homogenous echogenic texture with no vascularity mean. Please help.Thanks.
Not simply water: Ovarian cysts come in different flavors. The simple ovarian cyst usually contains a water like substance and not internal echoes on ultrasound . Complex cysts may have blood on the inside called hemorrhagic cyst. With time, the blood degenerates and fibrin may be inside. The septa are occasionally cell walls or may be thickened or very thin. To be complete, cancers can be cystic. yours like blood. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Heterogeneous appearance thyroid gland with complex solid & cystic nodule posterior margin upper pole right lobe 1.5x1.4x1.0cm, what does this mean?
Possible biopsy: Many people have thyroid issues and have ultrasounds that can show a multitude of issues. Most findings are benign and typically are cysts. Biopsies are done routinely for solid nodules to make sure they are benign or not. You may require some thyroid replacement but thyroid blood tests are also required. She your primary or an endocrinologist since they specialize in thyroid issues. Good luck ...Read more
