Annyone have a hypersexual child?

Not child: When a child exhibits age-inappropriate sexual behavior, it is often due to either adult misinterpretation or sexual abuse. Professional consultation is recommended to clarify the situation and ensure the safety of the child.

Am I hypersexual if I like it daily?

No: Is an increase in desire/drive or a preoccupation with sex. May exhibit as thoughts, sexual comments or sexual behavior. It is an increase from that person's norm. Thus, it is idiosyncratic. Can include someone engaging in sex with multiple people when they typically don't or it can be a heightened need for sex with the same person.

Is it possible to use ssris to increase serotonin and to stop hypersexuality?

Is it possible to use ssris to increase serotonin and to stop hypersexuality?

Possibly: The ssris often have as a side effect a reduction in sex drive and they could be used for reducing hypersexuality. Another way that ssris are used in sexual conditions is when ssris are used to reduce premature ejaculation. However, it is safest for someone struggling with hypersexuality to be properly evaluated psychiatrically because this symptom occurs in bipolar mania which ssris can worsen.

Testing needed: I'm not sure how you define hypersexual but if your activity is dangerous or causing social problems it may be in need of treatment. Hormones, sleep disorder, neurological issues, are possible. Please see your doc, a psychiatrist, or a sleep specialist for guidance. Peace and good health.

Huntington's disease, hypersexuality or hyposexuality, how are these related?

They're not related.: Huntington's dz is usu. Not assoc. W/ hyper or hyposexuality unless it affects the areas of the brain in the anterior temporal lobes. Early on, degeneration of nerve cells in the central part of the brain in the striatum or basal ganglia cause motor and emotional symptoms. Breakdown of nerve cells can spread to other areas of the brain later on in the disease. It's best to consult w/ a neurologist

Hyper sexuality: If your hyper sexual state is related to lack of sleep, increased energy, increased physical and psychic activity, fast and uninterrupted speech, racing thoughts, and foolish or risky behavior, you may be experiencing a manic or hypo manic episode. It is reasonable to think that if you have a bipolar disorder, you have stopped your treatment or abused drugs and alcohol. Please see your doctor!

Medical work up: Get a medical work up. Tell your doctor how your sex drive is getting in the way of your normal functioning. Ask if you can be tested for imbalances. Keep an open mind towards therapy, you might be surprised how the right therapist can help. Some people find groups like sex and love addicts anonymous (slaa) helpful. Good luck and best wishes.
