Sinus headache or migraine? nausea too.

Sinus headache or migraine? nausea too.

Migraine: I hear it all the time: "I got sinus, doc." They're wrong. That's a myth perpetrated back in the decades of "postnasal drip" i.e. the 50s & 60s by the advertisers of Dristan. 99% of all "sinus" headaches - aren't. They're mostly migraines. Head rma ok. Head CT ok. Ent ok. Blood tests ok. Symptoms : nose bleeds, ear bleeds, headaches, dizziness... What can be wrong ? What missed ?

Need more info!: These symptoms are non-specific, which means that can be associated with many blood disorders (e.g. Blood disorders, blood viscosity problems, etc.). Also, the work-up would be different depending on your age and on the duration of symptoms. You will need comprehensive history and physical examination and blood work. It will likely take a few visits and several tests to reach definitive diagnosis. ...Read more

Soar throat, fatigue, runny nose, hard coughing, bad one sided headache for 10 weeks. Not lymes, bronchi, sinusinfection, iron or thyroid. What then?

Other infections: Possibly viral infection, but if you have risk factors for lyme disease (exposure to activities outdoors in tick infested areas, histry of tick bite, em rash, indoor/outdoor pets) but negative lyme test , it's still possible that it's lyme. Other infections associated with lyme disease, such as bartonella, babesia, ehrlichea can also be transmitted by ticks and present some of these symptoms. ...Read more

Ear ache, head ache, loss of hearing, dizziness, diareah, blurry vision, fatigue? Just got off z-pack for bronchitis?

Z-pack didn't work!: Sounds like you may have a viral infection (which would not respond to an antibiotic). What were your symptoms when this all started? Have those symptoms resolved and these are new? Or did you just not get better? Diarrhea could be from the z-pack. The rest is consistent with viral upper respiratory infection. Go to your doctor or urgent care for recheck. ...Read more
