Thyroid Goiter And Weight Gain
What can cause depression, anxiety, weight gain, heart palps, fatigue, night sweats? Have goiter/swollen thyroid. Doc says thyroid is functioning ok?
My TSH is 0.99 but the Dr said that I have a goiter. I have cold feet. Unexpected weight gain. Dry skin. Palpitations. Carpal tunnel. 29 yr old female?
Non-specific: Tsh of 0.99 suggests normal thyroid function. I dont have your free thyroxine level to confirm this. Your symptoms are non-specific. Unfortunately, when patients have the classic symptoms of hypothyroidism they only actually have it 30% of the time. That speaks to the lack of specificity of the symptoms you are having. Again though a t4 level would be needed to rule out central hypothyroidism. ...Read more
Hashimoto thyroidism, HGH bld pressure vitamin d sufficient, excess weight gain, feel tired all the time, would amphetamine boost my energy?
Yes, but: It would be potentially dangerous and possibly illegal depending upon the source of the amphetamines. Why put something in your body that is harmful and can potentially kill you? Also get off the armour thyroid, which is ground up pig tissue and have your doctor put you on brand name T4 replacement, which is better and safer. ...Read more

Don't take it: on your own way, thyroid hormone exact dose need to be regulated with physician supervision need blood levels , too much or too little will harm you . Before synthetic ( synthroid (thyroxine) ) armour or dedicated thyroid is only source ( pigs thyroid ) Synthetic is more easy to regulate , exact amount could be administered , better absorbed . It is up to you which one you want ...Read more
Iodine and thyroid: It is most important to get your thyroid straightened out. Presumably you were hypothyroid and are now on levothyroxine. There is lots of iodine in the normal western diet, and more will not help you, although it will probably not hurt, you will just have a lot of iodine in the urine. ...Read more
What are symptoms I can look for that may point to thyroid problems that result in weight gain? Family thinks thyroid issues are to blame I think food
Symptoms vague : The symptoms are somewhat vague (not specific to thyroid disease) bc majority of adults will report having these symptoms but do not have thyroid issues: fatigue, weight gain, dry skin, constipation, feeling cold. Please clarify: Hi. What do you mean by "tyrosine thyroid"? Tyrosine is an amino acid used in thyroid cells to synthesize thyroid hormone and the thyroid is a gland. I can't figure what entity you are asking about as "tyrosine thyroid". If the thyroid gland stops working (hypothyroidism), THAT can cause modest weight gain. Good luck! ...Read more
