I have a complex ovarian cyst that partially ruptured 3 days ago. Er dr said i'd be fine in 2 days but i'm still in tremendous pain. Is this normal?
I'd say yes.: You have had an ovarian cyst rupture, with blood and possibly other fluid empty into your abdominal cavity. This will likely cause a great deal of pain and reactive changes, like adhesions over time. If you haven't already , it might be wise to schedule at least an appointment with your OB dr. Maybe: most likely it is a benign cyst. Cancer risk increases in cystic ovaries in Women over 60. However a complex system of the ovary can't be associated with cancer and a 37-year-old female. The only way to know for sure is to have it ultrasound and possibly biopsied.
