Thyro Pac For Thyroid
Cardiologist says heart is fine because of ekg/holter/echo/thyroid/adrenal good. Constant tachycardia/pacs/palps though. Ef 50%. Possible error?
Very doubtful: It is extremely doubtful that you have a heart problem with all of that testing coming out normal. To be honest, it is much more likely to be related to stress/anxiety in your life, or possibly due to less than optimal lifestyle behaviors (diet, caffeine, exercise frequency, etc). ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Almost everyone gets PVCS and PACS but why do they happen? Why once you feel them you become so scared of them?
I just asked about benign pacs and endoscopy sedation, Dr that replied said safe with rare pacs but I have them daily probably 20-50 a day I feel?
30 to 50 a day: is likely an underestimate and you are probably not noticing most of them. That is true of everyone. and that amt of pac is quite common. PAC's that are multiple shapes or come in a long string are significant, otherwise not really ...Read more

What is causing pvcs/pacs from slouching, lying down, quickly standing or stopping. Theyve been cleared benign but what's causes this from these stance?
Usually : no cause: In the majority of cases, no cause can be found. That said, check your electrolytes for deficiency: magnesium and potassium. Avoid stimulants: nicotine and caffeine. Check thyroid (TSH). Get plenty of rest. Avoid stress. If all those fail, they'll either go away by themselves (they often do) or you'll need medication to help. ...Read more

I think I have pacs. I know they are benign but is there an upper limit as to how many per minute are considered ok/normal?
Not really.: Pac's are benign without an upper limit. Pacs vary in frequency depending upon the state of your nervous and chemical input to the heart. The slower your heart rate gets the more time between beats and the greater the opportunity for and extra beat to slip in. When you exercise or your heart rate speeds up they should disappear. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

10/min too many: Etiology of ordinary PAC's broad even if Echo normal. Even small doses of long acting B-Blocker can decr PAC's signif. Have you tried 12.5 - 25 mgs per day of Metoprolol Succinate? I have had good success with this particular med. Do not expect cure overnight, but usually this can stabilize the heart. At these doses of the long act metoprolol heart rate will slow little if at all. ...Read more
So non stop pacs for straight 2 months. Sometimes 10 a min. Dr says benign. More occuring when slouched or lying in bed. How can be benign so frequent?
Never: Pacs and pvcs never can cause sudden death which is due to ventricular fibrillation or asystole. The substrate for those is serious, underlying structural heart disease such as occurs during or after heart attacks or with rare congenital diseases (like hypertrophic cardiomyopathy or long qt syndrome). ...Read more

PACs: Full evaluation of PACs, in my opinion, consists of a 12 lead ekg, 24 hour Holter Monitor, echocardiogram and treadmill stress test. This would look for structural heart disease, determine the effect of strenuous exertion and determine the severity of the atrial irritability and type of advisable treatment,if any, I also recommend abstinence of caffeine, alcohol, and nicotine.
