Why does my right hand middle finger go numb with a bruise line on the underside? Could it be related to previous shoulder surgery (bone spur and inflammation removed)?

Had a bone spur removed & joint fused in my hand a year ago and it still isn't pain free. Think it was a cmc joint. Is this normal to have pain still?
See Hand surgeon: Considering your age, I am surprised that a cmc joint was fused unless you have had significant trauma or have some form of severe arthropathy. Unclear: Numbness in hand from middle to pinky suggests ulnar nerve impingement. If bone spurs were related pattern would usually be different from this. However, a C8 root syndrome might produce this pattern. Try to draw a line around the area of numbness (including all parts that are numb - hand and arm). Show to doctor.
