I've been suffuring with this for years. I get nauseous when I eat, actually every bite I take I want to throw it out. What could it be? Treatable?
Not sure: There are a lot of possible causes of persistent nausea, and it would require more detail then you have provided here to try to sort it out. A good start would be to try a chewable antacid such as Tums (calcium carbonate) several times a day for a week or two, whenever you get the nausea, just to see if it helps at all. If it does help, it's probably related to the stomach. If it does not, see your doctor. Good luck. ...Read more

I have a habit of drinking my daily water intake from late evening until 10am. This throws me off. Minus therapy what's the best way to space it out?
Not sure how you do: It? It's important not to be drinking a lot while you're eating, and apparently you might not be doing that at 10P to 10A. Are you working the graveyard shift to accomplish this? Otherwise, if you're thirsty this late at night, and your ADH (vasopressin) serum test was normal, then you don't have diabetes insipidus, and can try sleeping without getting up to drink water until morning. Must change UR habits! ...Read more

Disposal: Although not a responsible behavior, some people get rid of the leftover drugs on a prescription or expired drugs by putting them in the toilet because it is so easy. I have a friend that if she gets into a boat or tries walking on a dock she gets extremely sick and starts to throw up, it seems the movement in the water triggers it, she fine any other time, and I just bought a new boat and want to take her for a ride,
It: It sounds as if she has motion sickness/sea sickness. There are medications that can help - over the counter - such as an antihistamine like dramamine (dimenhydrinate) and prescription - such as scopolamine or promethazine. Just a warning though - antihistamines can make you sleepy. Some people will also try remedies such as accupressure bands and ginger, but research hasn't really shown these methods to be very effective though they are harmless if she wants to try them. She should talk to her doctor about which options would be best for her. ...Read more

As doctors, the first thing we do when we hear a woman is having a light or missed period or abnormal spotting, we check a pregnancy test - so I'm glad you took one already. You can always take a home pregnancy test as long as it has been 5- 6 weeks since your last normal period, or you can go see your doctor and they can test you. A home pregnancy test is 97% accurate if taken a week or more after the missed period.
There are other reasons besides pregnancy that can cause a woman to miss a period such as: stress, diet, excessive exercise or a hormone imbalance such as with a thyroid disorder or poly cystic ovarian syndrome. The foul odor and change in appearance of your urine could also be an indication of an infection such as bacterial vaginosis, a yeast infection or even a sexually transmitted disease like trichamonas. You should give you doctor a call and have an exam just to be sure. Good luck! ...Read more

Yes: Children may vomit with the mucous and tears that occur during crying. They may also vomit or even hold their breath during temper tantrums.
