Throwing up is also known as Vomiting. Nausea is the sensation of having an urge to vomit. Vomiting is forcing the contents of the stomach up through the esophagus and out of the mouth.

Fever and vomiting: If his symptoms just started. Put him in a tepid tub to help bring down the fever. Try not to give hem anything by mouth for an hour after vomiting, then start with small sips of Pedialyte frequently. If the vomiting stops today, avoid any milk products that contain fat as it is more likely to come back up. Get evaluated: Please start getting help by seeing your family physician. It's possible for emotional anxiety and anger to make you feel irritated and even like throwing up -- the mind and body are richly interwoven. But there are many other possible causes of nausea too. Treat cause of N/V: Nausea/vomiting may be gi-related (food poisoning, peptic disease, gastroparesis, due to biliary & pancreatic disease, gas/bloat syndrome, small bowel problems. Consider "central" causes: motion sickness, vertigo, migraine headache, brain problems (some very serious). Also, rule out infection (? Go to ER: If your not having diarrhea it's likely food poisoning from a food contaminated with the bacteria Staphylococcus aureus or Bacillus cereus(both of which produce a toxin that causes vomiting) or Norovirus. You may well be dehydrated(parched lips and feeling faint or light headed on standing). Go to the ER as you may need IV fluids and medication to stop the vomiting. ...Read more
