I Have a throbbing pain right under my left rib. It cOmes and goes. Now I feel it on mY right side now too. Should I go to the drs?
Rib pain: Depending on what you're activities are, you likely have musculo-skeletal pain. If your pain is only coming and going, taking Tylenol (acetaminophen) or Aleve should help. If persistent and associated with difficulty breathing, nausea, vomiting or any other symptoms, you should get checked out by your doctor. If you are able to give me more details, I can give you further insight on how to manage.

Throbbing pain on upper left side of ribs under boob, pain constant for mins and fades, had X-rays done everything normal. Wht can it be?
Several thoughts: Might be cardiac, gastric, pulmonary or muscular. Is it affected by eating certain foods? Does activity bring it on? Any effect with certain movements of arms or chest? Tender when you press on the area? Does deep breathing affect it? In a 20 yr old woman, likely muscular, but the others cannot be ruled out..See 1 more doctor answer
I have been having slight pains on the left side of my chest. Its a throbbing pain but goes away after a few minutes. Should i. See a doctor or no?
Yes. Go: Chest pain can be due to many things...Some can be serious and life-threatening...Don't wait...Go and see your doc. ..Get it checked asap...
Have it checked out: It is always better to be safe than sorry for any chest pain after the age of 40. It is more so if you also have shortness of breath and sweating with it. If you have added risk factors like smoking, high blood pressure, and diabetes than it increases the risk of having a heart attack. Bruising inside the chest without trauma is unheard of. Please go and see a doctor right away or go to E.R.See 1 more doctor answer
The left side of my chest hurts but I feel it more towards the center left side but its like an ache throbbing pain and I'm so worried please help?
Exertional?: Chest discomfort that is brought on by exertion, relieved by rest is worrisome. Discomfort going on for days is unlikely to be cardiac. If your chest is sore to touch or gets worse with cough/deep breath, it's not due to coronary disease. If you're not sure, & esp if this is new, you should go to the er for a checkup. Always better safe than sorry. You'll at least feel reassured to get checked.See 1 more doctor answer
What can a crack sound in the chest mean, followed by a throbbing pain into left arm and side for over a week?
? thoracic outlet: A cracking sound in the chest is usually the result of the breastbone/sternum moving against the ribs and clavicle/collar bone. It might be possible that this bone movement resulted in some nerve impingement near the 1st left rib, a condition called thoracic outlet syndrome. It is probably made worse by associated swelling. You can observe a few more days, or go in to see your doc now. Good wishesSee 1 more doctor answer

Having severe throbbing pain under left rib and is radiating around to mid back/ flank area. I also feel nauseous and gagging. what could this be?
Be seen: Severe chest pain should be evaluated right away. What you describe could be a kidney infection or kidney stone. A rash in the area may indicate shingles. Still, these all need medical care. Heart pain is still a possibility even if the pain is in the back. This is commonly sorted out in the emergency room. Yes, it could be something less serious, but be safe and see a pro.See 1 more doctor answer
I suddenly started to feel a dull throbbing pain around my upper left rib cage area. Its really painful when I move my arms or change positions in bed?
Trauma?: Were you injured? Have you been lifting heavy objects or doing strenuous work? Your symptoms suggest a muscle strain or pull. Possibly even a bruised or broken rib, if you were injured. An x-ray would help. Rest, heat, Ibuprofen or Naproxen (or even full dose aspirin) would likely help but time is the most important factor.
I have a lower left throbbing pain (reminds me of labor contractions) under my ribs. What could this be?
Under ribs would: Include the muscles in that location, intercostal rib cage muscles, diaphragm, colon, stomach, small bowel, even heart (much less likely), etc. Study abdominal anatomy online & experiment with what movements/actions consistently change the pain; intensity, location, sensation for better clues. Usually works much better to seek help in person: too many variables.
