Depends on history: If you had a trauma (fall, car accident, etc) then a fractured bone is possible and you should get an xray or ct scan asap. If no trauma, you could still have a pinched nerve and evaluation with health care provider and imaging is still a good idea. ...Read more

For safety sake, any pain on the left side, increasing your heart rate after exercise that beating faster than 80% higher than your resting heart rate needs to be discussed to make sure you don't have an abnormally fast heart rate. This can be done in the office, and checked with an EKG, and he can send you home on a 24 hour Holter monitor too if need be just to make sure. ...Read more
