I have a throbbing pain in my elbow that comes and goes. It's quite painful, and I did not injure my arm nor have tennis elbow. What could cause this?
Many things are part: Of the elbow, thus many things can hurt too. Bone, tendon, joint, nerve, blood vessel, skin all can be a source of pain. Tendonitis is a common cause, as is ligament or joint irritation. But the take home answer is anything that gets a nerve supply (which is everything) can be a source of pain. 16+2 preg. Age 31. Throbbing intermittent pain in right elbow. Little bit tender to touch. Had for several weeks. What could it be?
First guess: My first guess is tennis elbow (aka lateral epicondylitis), which is repeated intermittent pain on the outside of the elbow, particularly with movement, repetitive movements, or lifting heavier things. It can become tender. Pain may also occur when you grap or twist things. Use ice packs for 10-15 minutes when you feel the pain several times a day, try a forearm brace for the elbow, and Tylenol (acetaminophen). ...Read more

Elbow pain: Hi there. Pain as you described could be from the elbow joint or any structure in that area. Require an evaluation from your GP. Ensure that you stretch neck back and arm muscles..... ...Read more
I have a throbing pain in my left elbow it hurts down to my fingers slightly swollen with weekness iget some weekness in my right hand ocassioally?
My left elbow is slightly swollen and it's hard to move/flex my elbow due to the throbbing pain. There's also a small bump of pus. How do I treat this?
Take it to a Dr.: If there's pus and throbbing, it's an indication of infection. That's better addressed by a provider who can prescribe antibiotics if needed. Cleaning out the wound incompletely would just lead to having to deal with it later - so go to a clinic or your provider. It's a chance to discover the underlying cause (if not an injury) and deal with that too. Best! ...Read more
