Teeth a concern: Diffuse jaw pain can have several reasons, teeth are one of the more common ones, especially impacted teeth(under the gums). The gums surrounding the teeth can be painful. The jaw joint, tmj, can be a reason for pain, higher on the suspicion meter if you note popping with opening your jaw. The salivary glands, submandibular, can be an etiology for posterior jaw pain.
