Fluid in ear?: Assuming that these symptoms have been present for less than a week, fluid in the left middle ear from the flight may be the cause and this may or may not resolve completely by itself after 2 weeks. It is possible also that you may have an ear infection. On the other hand, from your history, I can't rule out a migraine headache triggered by stress especially if you have a history of migraine. Pain & Infection: Sinus infections can often result in maxillary posterior tooth pain. It is possible that you have a tooth abscess that has not responded to the antibiotics. Either way, you should see your dentist to rule out any dental issues... antibiotics alone will not solve any dental problems. Read more

Complicated migraine: This is most likely a complicated migraine based on throbbing pain and skin sensitivity vs less likely brain lesion affecting the cranial nerve 5 or autonomic trigeminal cephalgia. You need to see a neurologist for this issue and get MRI brain to rule out demyelinating or space occupying lesions, but again highest suspicion is for migraine Read more

I have had a dull headache for 2 weeks now, its always right above my nose/eyes. Now my ear is throbbing. What is wrong? What can I take?

What is wrong can: Only be determined by an appropriate medical professional examining you for diagnosis. It certainly sounds like an ear infection, possibly coupled with a sinus infection. Many of these are viral and will respond to supportive care, including decongestants and use of netty pots. Others need antibiotics. Start with seeing your PCP for an evaluation right away! I just got a really sharp pain in my right ear, followed by a throbbing headache. I have a history with pseudotumor cerebri. Could this be a sign of it flaring up again?

I just got a really sharp pain in my right ear, followed by a throbbing headache. I have a history with pseudotumor cerebri. Could this be a sign of it flaring up again?

Answer this question: Since you've got a DX of Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension (IIH- new name for PC) can you recall when you 1st started having symptoms? What were they? Headache is commonly part of IIH but sharp ear pain- a bit uncommon in a classic presentation. Wanna chat? Www. Healthtap. Com/drsaghafi Use Key Code: PDXFNR to set up an appointment. TMJ: The jaw joint shares a nerve with the ear drum and sometimes discomfort originating in the jaw will be perceived as ear pain. When this is happening, your pcp should be able to elicit or amplify the pain by slight tapping over the joint. This can also involve the teeth. Good luck with sorting it out. Read more

Severe throbbing headache. Woke me up. Had CT no contrast. Y wouldn't they use contrast. Could I hav an unruptured anuresym. Hav neck & ear pain 2?

No CT contrast when: Looking for hemorrhage (blood) in the brain or around it. This can happen with a ruptured aneurysm, or a spontaneous (or traumatic) subdural or subarachnoid hemorrhage, or even a hemorrhagic stroke. Contrast can hide the blood. Although unlikely, aneurysm is possible. Please see your doctor for a workup of this problem - could be many things, such as high blood pressure. May need MRI +/- mra. Read more

Every so often I get headaches in the back of my head a little bit above my neck, feels like a throbbing sensation. Is it migraines? Neuro said yes.

Most likely: Headaches originating in back of head most likely due to occipital neuralgia, a chronic nerve compression of the greater and or lesser occipital nerve due to tight muscle, fascia, and other tissues in the area.
