Mild throat pain from 5 months, ENT specialist said stress on voice box when speaking much, any advice?

Speech therapy: I have had patients diagnosed with stress on voice box/ vocal cords and some were sent to speech therapy. You will learn how to warm the voice up gently and learn how to speak. Imagine yourself as an opera singer going to a a voice teacher or vocal coach to learn how to use your voice as an instrument.

I can't speak, severe chest and nasal congestion, ear and throat pain, loss of appetite, lack of smell and taste. What can I do?

Go to the Doctor: It is very simple. You sign off of the internet and go see your physician. Today. You are sick. I believe your 'question' would represent the very definition of when it is time to get to the family medical clinic.

I am having sore throat and I am finding it difficult to speak. What can I do to cure it?

I am having sore throat and I am finding it difficult to speak. What can I do to cure it?

Dr. Can check throat: New throat pain can be from a strep throat infection (antibiotics are needed), a cold or influenza (antibiotics usually not used), or from some other cause such as allergies or irritants. Usually, a person sees the doctor if the sore throat is bothersome, recurrent, or doesn't go away quickly (mainly to check for strep throat). A couple days of throat lozenges and tylenol (acetaminophen) can decrease throat pain.

Why my sore throat due to (LPR) larygopharyngeal reflux gets worse as day progresses. Is it due to speaking or due to food?

Why my sore throat due to (LPR) larygopharyngeal reflux gets worse as day progresses. Is it due to speaking or due to food?

LPR: Is rather a diagnosis, not a symptom, what exactly becomes worse? Is it the hoarseness? Or the soreness, or the heart burn as well? Voice fatigue towards the end of the day, or the other symptoms, can have several causes, kindly see an ENT for evaluation, or re-evaluation and a second opnion, it's your right as a patient, best wishes

Get it checked: I SUGGEST THAT YOU SEE YOUR DOCTOR AND GET IT CHECKED AND GET A THROAT SWAB DONE FOR STREP AND IF POSITIVE YOU WILL NEED ANTBIOTICS THE OTHR SYMPTOMS OF PAIN IN BACK OF NECK WHEN CHEWING AND SPEAKING TOO LONG IS NOT RELATED TO SORE THROAT AND ALSO NEEDS TO BE CHECKED

Sore throat & difficulty in speaking can be symptom of gerd?

Possibly: This may be what we call extra esophageal manifestations of gerd. Most people see an ENT first, get placed on an acid reducing agent and then get referred to a gastroemterologist.

I've had a sore throat for 24 hours. At rest it feels almost ok but if I speak over a whisper it burns. There is no redness or spots or fever.?

Virus: I'd give it a few days using honey, warm salt water gargles, Ibuprofen. If persisting for 3-5 days more consider visit for strep or mono testing at your doctors. Good luck

Wisdom Teeth: Unfortunately, your problem may not be able to wait. Not sure exactly what part of the world you are in, but you'll need need to research how other locals take care of these emergencies. A bit of traveling may be necessary to reach a specialist. Don't wait until the pain is unbearable. All the best...

Don't force it: Avoid drying agents like sudafed. Don't try to force yourself to be heard. If you try to force it, you can strain your vocal cords and make the problem last a lot longer. So whisper, or right notes. Nod or shake your head solemnly, and people will think you are wise! The sages of history were known to not speak much. Or, as my ex said, if you need something done just "grunt and point!!! "

Sore throat: Most sore throats are cause by a virus or bacteria that are self limited and resolve on their own. About a third are caused by strep which can be harmful. If your daughter's sore throat persist more than 3 days, see your doc and make sure she is tested for strep.

Post nasal drip: Your symptoms are consistent with post-nasal drip. You may try over the counter allergy pill such as benadryl, zyrtec or Allegra. Any of the generic formulations b may work as effectively. Try this first and see if your symptoms improve. Be sure to take consistently for a few days to really notice an effect. If you start having other symptoms then may need to try something else

Know your allergies: Your allergies can be tested and avoidance is still the best treatment. You may need to be on nasal spray if it is allergic rhinitis, or even montelukast, works for some.
