Mgt: From your description, another possible cause is an allergic reaction. I would recommend a dose of an over the counter antihistamine to assess if it helps. Have you had your flu vaccination? If not, I would recommend it unless otherwise contraindicated. ...Read more

Post nasal drip: Chances are you have a post nasal drip.While you not feel your nose congested during the day it may be dripping while you are sleeping at night.To help i would steam yourself in a hot shower for 30 minutes a day then use saline nose drops during the day lots of fluids and take a cough medicine like mucinex (guaifenesin). ...Read more

Quite Possibly Sinus: U seem to be dehydrated, never good during infection. Do U have headache, or tender over forehead. Green Mucous does imply a sinus infection that needs anti-biotics. U should see UR doctor right away & be treated If U have no MD, go to internist or ENT MD ASAP. ...Read more

Not likley!: Your symptoms are consistent with tonsillitis in the usual progression of most upper respiratory tract infections that are invariably viral! if you have previously had strep throat infections a screening swab &culture should be done, but unless you are among a community that carries that infection, it would be improbable for you to have strep. Probability says NO: Unless you've got fevers and other symptoms of a bacterial infection (such as a positive STREP), or bronchial expectorations which have been cultured positive for pathogens then, your yellow mucus is as informatively distinguishing between bacterial or viral infection as the smile of a politician is helpful to me to tell between sincerity at wanting to help me on an issue vs. having TERRIBLE GAS! ...Read more
