What's the mini progestin pill Micronor? Is that in a combination pill pack like Trisprintec (norgestimate and ethinyl estradiol)?

Same but different: micronor has only a progesterone hormone in it, while trisprintec (norgestimate and ethinyl estradiol) has both a progesterone and estrogen hormone component. Both have a progesterone hormone but the actual chemical is slightly different. ...Read more

I have the Skyla IUD and before that was on Micronor (norethindrone). In2013 I was 88 lbs in 2014 I was 83 lbs. Could weight loss be because of the hormone progestin?

No: There is no established relationship between progestins and weight changes, especially weight loss. There is anecdotal evidence that progestin "may" cause weight gain, so weight loss is virtually impossible. Hope this helps. ...Read more

Are there any progesterone based pills i can take to prevent forming more endometrial polyps? Currently on 5mg norethindrone but reviews are horrible

Are there any progesterone based pills i can take to prevent forming more endometrial polyps? Currently on 5mg norethindrone but reviews are horrible

Sorry: Not really anything to prevent polyps that I know of. Progesterone can help control the bleeding that occurs with them , sometimes. Otherwise, surgical removal would be an alternative. If that is mot an option and your are finished having children, a hysterectomy is definitive. Good luck. ...Read more

My period is due in 7 days and I would like to delay it. Can I start bc, progesterone, brevicon, (ethinyl estradiol and norethindrone) depo shot? I am not currently on any bc

Nothing effective: Assuming you are correct in your timing, the only thing that will delay your period is pregnancy. That is clearly not the solution you are looking for. For future reference, you would need to start the pill, ideally, 2 months ahead of time and at least at the beginning of your cycle. ...Read more

What do you advise if i started taking micronor (norethindrone) and i've bled for three weeks and countingshould i try a new pill?

Not yet: I would recommend that you try to stick with the Micronor (norethindrone) or a few more weeks or even a month if you can. Often it takes time for the body to adjust to Micronor (norethindrone). If you switch now, it could lead to even longer irregularity ...Read more

I have stopped taking Micronor 13 days ago. I've been experiencing pregnancy symptoms, but have had 3 negative test. are these symptoms from the pill?

Sounds like no: If your pregnancy symptoms were caused by pregnancy then that implies that your pregnancy hormones would be high enough for detection by a pregnancy test. Since your tests are negative that is not likely. If you do not want to be pregnant consider restarting your birth control. ...Read more

OCP efficacy : As with all oral contraceptives (especially Progesterone only pills) it is important to take the pills at consistent time each day. I'm on the Micronor (norethindrone) pill, have been irregular for the past week. I had unprotected sex. I had 2 pills before sex to make up, am I safe? What do I do

Take Plan B: Micronor (norethindrone) is most effective if you are also breast-feeding. If you are missing pills (and not taking them at around the same time every day) your chances of pregnancy are increased and its recommended that you use a back-up method such as condoms to prevent pregnancy. Taking 2 pills in one day will work if you only missed one pill the day before but if you have missed more than that it may not. ...Read more
