Three Hour Progestogen Only Pill Femulen Micronor Norgeston And Noriday
What's the mini progestin pill Micronor? Is that in a combination pill pack like Trisprintec (norgestimate and ethinyl estradiol)?
Are there any progesterone based pills i can take to prevent forming more endometrial polyps? Currently on 5mg norethindrone but reviews are horrible
Sorry: Not really anything to prevent polyps that I know of. Progesterone can help control the bleeding that occurs with them , sometimes. Otherwise, surgical removal would be an alternative. If that is mot an option and your are finished having children, a hysterectomy is definitive. Good luck. ...Read more
Do all progestin-only forms of BC have just 1 progestin available? All mini pills have norethindrone, IUDs levonorgestrel, implants etonogestrel, etc
I can't take estrogen due to suspected migraines. Which progestin is safest for me, norethindrone, levonorgestrel, or etonogestrel?
I'm 42 with 25 day cycle using diaghram with gynol. Missed the gynol but used the diaghram on day 13. Going away day 23-25 wanted to take Aygestin (norethindrone). Do I need to be concerned of pregnancy so therefore avoid progestin?
Yes: Pregnancy is a possibility at least. You will be going away just a little bit too early to be completely confident in a negative pregnancy test. ...Read more
My period is due in 7 days and I would like to delay it. Can I start bc, progesterone, brevicon, (ethinyl estradiol and norethindrone) depo shot? I am not currently on any bc
Nothing effective: Assuming you are correct in your timing, the only thing that will delay your period is pregnancy. That is clearly not the solution you are looking for. For future reference, you would need to start the pill, ideally, 2 months ahead of time and at least at the beginning of your cycle. ...Read more

been on the progestogen only pill around 2 months now but had constant brown discharge for the past 2 weeks! Only ever had protected sex beforehand.
I have stopped taking Micronor 13 days ago. I've been experiencing pregnancy symptoms, but have had 3 negative test. are these symptoms from the pill?
Sounds like no: If your pregnancy symptoms were caused by pregnancy then that implies that your pregnancy hormones would be high enough for detection by a pregnancy test. Since your tests are negative that is not likely. If you do not want to be pregnant consider restarting your birth control. ...Read more
On mini pill (micronor) for 10 mos now. 3 mos ago got period 4 x in 2 mos.( every other wk) last mo. Was really light. Now light brown period for 3day?
Might be normal: I would check a pregnancy test, but it sounds like a normal side effect of the pill. Cycles can be very irregular. If you are seeking regularity and there are no contraindications a BCP containing estrogens might be an option for you ...Read more
Breast feeding?: Progestin-only pills are most commonly used in women who are breast feeding because estrogen can cause a decline in the breast milk production, especially when it's started soon after delivery. Other women are on it because they cannot take estrogen for various reasons. It's slightly less effective than the combination pill and must be taken at the same time daily. ...Read more
Is micronor (norethindrone) effective full 24 hrs when taken on time? Or is 1 hr before taking pill not good time for sex?
OCP efficacy : As with all oral contraceptives (especially Progesterone only pills) it is important to take the pills at consistent time each day. If you have been taking them consistently since your last period it does not matter what time of day you take it or when you have sex, for that matter. More important is the consistent daily use. ...Read more
Does one episode of diarrhea 2 and a half hours after taking the pill lower its effectiveness? should I take an extra one? (progesterone only pill)
not unless you see the pill coming out through the stool without being dissolved.
Usually there is enough time for a pill to dissolve and be absorbed before it reaches the colon and stool comes out. ...Read more

Chronic reflux. Afraid that Zantac (ranitidine) will reduce effect of micronor. But also worried that acid reflux will effect absorption of pill. Any suggestions?
I'm on the Micronor (norethindrone) pill, have been irregular for the past week. I had unprotected sex. I had 2 pills before sex to make up, am I safe? What do I do
Take Plan B: Micronor (norethindrone) is most effective if you are also breast-feeding. If you are missing pills (and not taking them at around the same time every day) your chances of pregnancy are increased and its recommended that you use a back-up method such as condoms to prevent pregnancy. Taking 2 pills in one day will work if you only missed one pill the day before but if you have missed more than that it may not. ...Read more
