I usually recommend using a body soap for sensitive skin such as Dove basic white soap with no pretty smell. Depends: Soaps are useful in some forms or skin allergy, harmful in others & play no role in still others. With contact dermatitis due to poison oak or ivy washing exposed skin with soap & water immediately after exposure may limit absorption of plant allergens.
