Thin Uterine Lining And Bleeding
Polymenorrhoea 4 yrs now. Ultrasound results intramural fibroid grew 3 to 6 cm in the past 4 yrs & thin uterine lining, Heavy bleeding & thin lining?!
Can you conceive if you have breakthrough bleeding and a thin uterine lining. The dr did several tests and found nothing abnormal.
If you are ovulating: As long as you are ovulating, and having intercourse during the time of ovulation, then yes you can conceive. The thickness of the lining of the uterus will vary during the cycle (right after menses, it is usually thinner; gets thicker right before menses). It is hard to say whether or not you are ovulating based on the information available. If not getting regular menses then prob not ovulating. ...Read more

I have been bleeding for 1 month at times it is heavy. I was diagnosed with endometrial hyperplasia with 1.3cm thick uterine lining. How thick is 1.3?

I am having an endo sweeping. I have a 3-5 CM buildup of the uterine lining. I have never had any other symptoms (no bleeding, cramps, pain, etc.)i am 6o, on bhrt for 20 years. Why would this be needed?
Rule out cancer: A typical postmenopausal endometrial lining measurement should be <4-5 mm because the ovaries are not actively producing hormones to thicken up the lining. Being on hrt with estrogen alone increases the risk of uterine cancer, therefore you should be on both estrogen and Progesterone to reduce this risk. This combination should keep your lining thin. Sometimes a benign polyp can thicken lining. ...Read more
I am shedding clumps of uterine lining but not bleeding. I have been experiencing pms symptoms the past week. I Have Jaydess/skyla iud.?
Sometimes one does: See more decidual (lining) tissue than blood in a menstrual period...rarely the whole uterine lining will be passed in one piece...a decidual cast. This will usually be an isolated event, and the next period will have the usual lining mixed with blood. The Skyla IUD is associated with lighter periods as well. If persists/more questions, return to your Doc. Good wishes:) ...Read more
Had a frozen embryo transfer yesterday. My second one. This morning had some bleeding. Started red and is now brownish. My dr said not to worry. Uterine lining was thick and good yesterday. Thoughts?
Doctor is right: This happens a lot - that's why your doctor is right telling you not to worry. If he/she believed there was cause efor worry and something to do about it, you can be guaranteed he/she would help you. I know it's normal to worry, but it doesn't do any good. Follow instructions, and good luck. ...Read more

Heavy and long bleeding for 1 year. No pain or mid-cycle bleeding. Reg cycles. Had us today, 5 days into cycle. Endo lining about 8-9cm. Is that abnormal? Could it be uterine cancer?
Probably not, but...: Bleeding patterns can change over a woman's life time. Significant changes may mean there is a cause that can be treated like poly, fibroids, or changes in the growth of the uterine lining. Us exams and enodmetrial tissue biopsies can help determine what is the cause and how to treat it. You should see your provider to discuss further. ...Read more
What is the normal range of uterine lining mine is 23cm abnormal bleeding 3 months cysts both ovaries lower back pain.?
16 mm: In a pre-menopausal woman an endometrial lining that exceeds 16 mm in sickness can be considered too thick in the sense that there may be pathology behind it. A dilatation and curettage (D&C) during which the tissue is removed from the uterus and sent to pathology for further evaluation is in order. ...Read more
Is Prometrium (micronized progesterone) as effective in thinning the uterine lining as Provera but...with less side effects and less heavy cramping and bleeding?
US reading: Assuming this was from an US reading, it simply means that your uterus was measured and found to be in the "thick" classification category. As long as you are getting regular routine evaluations with your GYN dr. And getting your normal screening test done, and have no symptoms, AND assuring your GYN knows the report of the US, and is following you...then you should be fine. ...Read more
My uterus lining is shedding but I am not bleeding. I am sexually active and am wondering if there is a possibility that I am pregnant?
Uterine shedding: I'm not at all sure what you mean by thinking your uterine lining is shedding but no bleeding - this is really not possible. If your'e having some type of vaginal discharge without blood, it is not your lining. You need to see your OB/GYN to determine true source of the discharge to make sure some other form of treatment is not needed. And if you are sexually active, pregnancy is always possible ...Read more

I don't understand how a steroid spray can help chronic rhinitus when those sprays thin the lining and can cause bleeding. How?
Effect vs side effx: The steroid helps quiet the immune / inflammatory response in the sinuses from the irritants and bacteria present. There is a risk of mucosal thinning and subsequent bleeding, but not everyone gets that. It can sometimes be mitigated by using saline nasal spray intermittently as well. Risks far less than oral / systemic steroids. ...Read more
Thin lining: At certain times of your cycle the lining is thin - immediately after your period. Estrogen thickens/ grows the uterine lining. A low amount of estrogen production will result in a thin lining. The most common thing that causes a thin lining in young women is hormonal contraceptives (pills, depo, mirena, (levonorgestrel) NuvaRing). Here, it is normal and not an indication of any problem. ...Read more
