Thin Uterine Lining
Thin lining: At certain times of your cycle the lining is thin - immediately after your period. Estrogen thickens/ grows the uterine lining. A low amount of estrogen production will result in a thin lining. The most common thing that causes a thin lining in young women is hormonal contraceptives (pills, depo, mirena, (levonorgestrel) NuvaRing ). Here, it is normal and not an indication of any problem. ...Read more
Can you conceive if you have breakthrough bleeding and a thin uterine lining. The dr did several tests and found nothing abnormal.
If you are ovulating: As long as you are ovulating, and having intercourse during the time of ovulation, then yes you can conceive. The thickness of the lining of the uterus will vary during the cycle (right after menses, it is usually thinner; gets thicker right before menses). 10-14 days: It does depend on the situation. But usually daily use for 10-14 days is long enough to start noticing some effects. But this really depends on the reason for the thick lining. Polymenorrhoea 4 yrs now. Ultrasound results intramural fibroid grew 3 to 6 cm in the past 4 yrs & thin uterine lining, Heavy bleeding & thin lining?!
+ test 7-9 dpo then lite bleed same day. Blood test - & ultrasound show no pregnancy w/ thin uterine lining 3 days later. False + or was it 2 early??
Too early: Conception, as defined by the generation of a fertilized ovum, occurs within day or so of the sex. However, it takes about two weeks for the embryo to make enough HCG to produce a positive pregnancy test. Blood test may be done a day after a missed period. Home pregnancy tests should be done 4-5 days after the missed period. If the result is negative re do the test in 4-5 days, unless you get a period before then. Use first morning urine and follow instructions for the test carefully. ...Read more
