Thickness Of Endometrial Lining During Menstrual Cycle
During my menstrual period I notice that I release something that looks like scraped skin. I assumed it was from my uterine lining. Is this normal?
The menstrual cycle begins with the shedding of the uterine lining, resulting in bleeding from the vagina. A few weeks later, one ovary releases an egg and the uterine lining thickens in preparation for a potential pregnancy. Pregnancy can occur at this stage if sperm fertilizes the egg. If the egg is not fertilized, the egg will leave your body and ...Read more

I had 4 induced abortions. No complications, menstrual is normal have had 3 miscarriages after. Did I mess up my endometrial lining? & is that fixable
No: It isn't the endometrium that is the source of the repeated miscarriages. It is either a genetic issue or cervical incompetence. The cervix may be opening too soon in the 2nd trimester and may need to have a suture placed (cerclage).Genetic issues can be tested at the time of the miscarriage with the products of conception or later with blood testing (TORCH titer). ...Read more

My endometrial lining is 4.2mm after 15th day of my menstrual cycle is it normal iam trying to concieve?
On thin side: A lining less than 7mm is thin. However there isn't any data that show a for sure correlation between thin lining and inability to get pregnant. If someone is having trouble conceiving and they are found to have a thin lining sometimes this will warrant further treatment and evaluation ...Read more

No effect: An ablation will not change your hormones or when you will go through natural menopause. It's more difficult to evaluate menopausal status after an ablation without your periods and usually requires some bloodwork. Would visit with your doc and see if you are indeed starting perimenopause. ...Read more

Get ready for PG: The endometrium and the menstrual cycle both change in preparation of pregnancy. If an embryo does not implant then the process starts over. We do not know all the changes but the endometrium grows thicker after menses from estrogen. Progesterone, after ovulation, stops growth and cause the quality of the endometrium to become receptive to implantation. I hope this info helps. ...Read more

Inflammation: Lupus and the pre-menstrual phase of the cycle are both known for being states of increased inflammation, so it makes sense that you might have this and notice it during your menstrual cycle. I would speak with your rheumatologist regarding medications that are safe to take to diminish the flare symptoms, as some anti-inflammatories are harmful for kidneys. Best of luck. ...Read more
