Had a thick tissue discharge during third day of period. Also experienced sharp pain. What does this mean?

Endometrium: What actually happens during a menstrual period is that the inner lining of the uterus that has been built up during the first half of the cycle in preparation for the implantation of a fertilized egg--now that there is no pregnancy--is being discharged from the uterus, hence the tissue clots. The sharp pain reflects the work of the uterus to discharge the tissue. ...Read more

I have tough, membraneous, tissue- like discharge during period. What is it? I am on the pill but started my pack a week late this month.

Uterine lining: Each month, the lining of your uterus which is made up of 'mebraneous material" grows in response to hormonal stimulation preparing for possible implantation/pregnancy. If no pregnancy occurs, this lining is shedded (because of drop in hormones (estrogen, progesterone) at end of cycle resulting in menstrual flow and thus you see the "membraneous tissue." hope that makes sense. Have fun learning. ...Read more

During period after masturbation only clitoris, brown and slightly red discharge came out and it only came after the session is it bad?

During period after masturbation only clitoris, brown and slightly red discharge came out and it only came after the session is it bad?

Coincidental: Hi. I doubt that clitoral masturbation has anything to do with the vaginal discharge you describe. Clitoral masturbation will definitely moisten the vagina, and orgasm will cause uterine contraction among other things. However, the brown/red discharge almost sounds like part of a period. When in your cycle did this occur? If it is abnormal vaginal bleeding, please see your gyn. Good luck! ...Read more

Had unprotected sex on first day of period. Period lasted 4 days. Period was lighter but had clots during period. Now clear stretchy discharge. Prego?

When the cervical mucus is stretchy that usually means you are ovulating and intercourse at that time could result in a pregnancy. ...Read more
