Discharge can be of: Multiple origins. Sexual history is important. Chlamydia and gonnerea can cause excessive discharge but I would place this further down on the list. See your ob gyn: You would need to get tested to verify for BV then get a prescription for BV i'd that's what is causing your diacharge. If you have been treated for it you need to wait sometime 14 days after starting the treatment to see a significant change in discharge. How do you know if meds for bv working cuz I took metro gel & now wen I wipe its thick yellow discharge on tissue mixed wit almost pink stuff?
Check for STDs: First, MetroGel is not the best treatment for bacterial vaginosis; metronidazole by mouth is much more effective. Second, yellow/pink discharge is atypical for BV and suggests other infection, especially STDs. Chlamydia, gonorrhea, or trichomonas often go along with BV, so make sure you were tested for them.
