Maybe: Your gynecologist will decide whether or not you need a d&c. This may be based the length of time that you have been bleeding with no improvement on norinyl. But obtaining your medical history and risks are important to the doctor to determine if a D&C is needed. Perhaps just more time on norinyl will work. Follow up with your gynecologist. ...Read more

A perfect medication would be the Mirena (levonorgestrel) iud as it has a tiny amount of Progesterone that's released over a long period of time, thus thinning the lining of women who use it. No! Only consider if: Tumor or uncontrolled bleeding. Thickening is a result of ongoing estrogen stimulation, in preparation for pregnancy, implantation ; blood supply to support placenta. 17 mm is quite thick; a few courses of bc pills can suppress if judged appropriate. Best to seek out and work with someone worthy of your trust. Docs paid for d;c, poorly for better assistance, buyer beware, as always. ...Read more
