I fell down, and all my weight went on my right hand, I had a sprained hand, what kind of therapy can help?
Hand fall: Physical therapy, after clearance by an orthopedic surgeon.
How do I treat my sprained hand/wrist? After 6 weeks it is still gets painful? See a hand specialist?
Must be patient: Sprains of the hand, especially sprains of the small joints of the fingers, are typically stiff and sore for a number of months-it sometimes takes a year or more for the soreness to go away, and sometimes the swelling can be permanent. It is a good idea to get a sprain evaluated early to make sure nothing else is going on and to completely understand the condition.See 2 more doctor answers
Variable: Make sure it is a sprain. Then do tendon gliding exercises, paraffin baths, swelling control and eventual strengthening.
Concern for fracture: Following on an outstretched wrist is the most common mechanism for fracture of the scaphoid bone. If initial swelling has resolved but you are still having pain, x-rays are suggested. It is important not to miss this fracture early. Long-term problems can develop with an occult scaphoid fracture.
It depends: Sprained joints in the fingers take several months to get well. However, you need an x-ray and examination by an experienced healthcare provider to confirm that it is a simple sprain and not a fracture or significant ligament injury. Many injuries can be missed, leading to worse outcomes. I had a sprained joint in my left ring finger from basketball and it took about 6 months to fully resolve.
No: I am not a big fan of ace wraps on the upper extremity due to improper placement and ultimately ending up looking more like a tourniquet. A real wrist brace is better and if not better soon see your doc.See 1 more doctor answer

Can you get a drs note for work if I've got a sprained hand and have already been seen? My joon requirses a lot af typing and it's very painfull
Maybe?: Obviously you should call your treating doctors office and let them know what you need. If you are really having that much pain from typing at your age, you need to get things checked out. If you are having this much trouble at 20, you have many years of work ahead of you. You may need to see a therapist for an ergonomic evaluation of your work station.See 1 more doctor answer
