Should be ok: Theraflu usually contains phenylephrine which has a short half life. Could use saudafed which has a long half life. Unusual treatment: You can take these medications together safely. However, colds are not due to bacteria and don't improve with antibiotics. Flu: Yes. BUT please remember that if you do not feel better after 2-3 days, then a visit to your primary doctor is advised. Assuming you have the flu virus, then take those meds, some Tylenol (acetaminophen) for fever and lots of liquid (juice, soup, water). I believe that: Clavam is the veterinarian name for the antibiotic amoxicillan/ clavulonic acid (brand Augmentin).
