Mid-day: The sun has to be fairly high in the sky, at least 50 degrees above the horizon, for UVB rays that are needed to produce Vit D to reach the ground, so mid-day is the best time. Bio-Tech D3 is the form that has been used in most of the major clinical studies. I recommend that D3 levels be maintained in the 60-70 ng/dl range.
