'hard vein' down the right abdomen, starting just below nipple, stops around the bottom of ribcage. Definitely outside of rib cage under arm next to elbow. Sore mostly when stretched or pushed.
Pea sized lump when pressing at the end of the tibia under the knee. Proximal Tibia area. No pain, or swelling. Could this be cancerous ?
Can the chest ribs be asymmetrical?I feel the first right rib(the bone right below the right clavicle) is more protruding than the left rib. Problem?
Sounds normal: Nobody's body is perfectly symmetrical. Some people require differnt shoe sizes on each foot, women may require differnt bra cup sizes, and ribs may protrude more on one side than the other -- etc, etc, etc. This doesn't sound like something tow orry about. Possibly : The mechanism and symptoms you are describing could certainly represent a patella fracture. You might consider being seen for an X-ray just to make sure it does not need to be mobilized. Hit the center of proximal phalanx on my right pointer finger. Swollen knot, bruising & painful bending. Bruised or would raised knot mean fracture?

My husband broke one of his back ribs. There is a large lump where the rib was broken. Is this the muscle swelling from the broken bone piercing it?
No: The usual cause of superficial lump is lypoma, bony growth or neuroma. A lypoma is usually painless, freely mobile, and remains stable over time. Bone spur is hard, fixed and tender on palpation. Probable neuritis: Subtle burning under the left rib cage may be due to intercostal neuritis, which is inflammation of the nerve that runs under the rib. It could also be due to a muscle strain, or could possibly be referred from elsewhere.
