Not likely: Bppv is a benign disorder of your balance center. Its symptoms are limited to vertigo. If your bf is having numbness in his arm, that is a more likely due to a problem with his cervical spine. Either the bbpv diagnose is incorrect or he has two completely different problems. See your doc: The low back is not related to the right arm. The arm is most likely a disk herniation at C5-6 and or C6-7 on the right. It can be treated with traction,medication and surgery as a last resort. You can also try injections. ...Read more

Yes: As tingling in arm is constant, and worsens with change of position, my best guess would be nerve compression within the shoulder. Breathing deeply is like the positional change, it puts further pressure of the nerve as the lungs fill with air and compress anatomy upwards into the nerve compression site.
