Crackers are: carbs and its best to avoid them. Ezekiel bread is made from sprouted grains and is a good substitute for carbs. It's in the frozen food section at the market and comes in a variety of types. A bit expensive but dense so it goes a longer way than regular bread. Best fruit is what is low on the glycemic index. What is your view on the fodmap diet? Why can't probiotics be used instead of this diet? Does exercise increase absorption of fodmaps?
Helpful for many: The fodmap diet is proven to help many with ibs & some with ibd. The idea is that certain sugars are poorly absorbed & then fermented by intestinal microbes producing gas. While probiotics might help slightly by reducing unfriendly flora, even the "good" flora in probiotics can ferment these sugars.
