The Nerves In My Hands Are Tingly I Am Not Sure Why Any Thoughts
The brain and spinal cord communicates with what is occurring in the internal organs and limbs by nerve fibers where are like electrical wires with insulation (myelin) and the "copper" (axon). Within brain and spinal cord these nerves connect to other nerves via synapses on both axons and dendrites. A nerve can carry information regarding sensations, and ...Read more
What are my options for poor circulation in my legs. I am at the point that i often cannot feel my legs and they are very cold. Thank you.
Hi my arms are numb and when they are not numb there is a deep pain in the forearm. Im feeling very worn out to do anything functional. what is this?
My hands and feet are tingly and I am not able to use my hands, I am experiencing nausea, can't keep anything down, now my hands are swelling?
Go see your doctor: You didn't mention any drugs or medical problems so i'm hoping you're otherwise healthy. Tingly hands & feet suggest some sort of peripheral neuropathy, perhaps from poorly controlled diabetes or lack of b12. Hands are less likely to swell than feet so you definitely need to get evaluated in person. As for nausea, there are many causes. Bottom line, go see your doctor for complete evaluation. ...Read more

My feet and hands are hurting and have swelling they ach through out the day, my feet more so in the morning time and its really only my toes, not the entire foot. I am lightheaded very easy and I am really tired. No matter what I do it don't seem to help
Painful : Painful hands/feet with swelling is unlikely due to neuropathy or reynaud's disease. There is no swelling in either of these conditions in most patients. (exception-swelling occurs in reflex sympathetic dystropy which usually follows surgery or injury.) depending on the physical exam and concurrent illnesses, the differential changes. With joint swelling, consider psoriatic or autoimmune arthitities (rhematoid, lupus) edema of the soft tissues without joint swelling, consider low thyroid, low albumen level, or even a drug reaction. It is helpful to know the age of the patient and whether the swelling is objective (obvious to an observer) or only subjective (feels swollen to the patient but isn't obvious to the observer). ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

Excruciating pain. At shoulder & goes into wrist, hand & fingers. Severe pain, numbness, & tingling. My nerves pop. Excruciating pain, numbness, tingling, itching, nerves pop.
You : You listed nerve repair and nerve surgery in the topics. Does this mean you had nerve surgery? Shoulder instability especially anterior instability can give the feeling of the entire arm going numb when the shoulder and arm are in certain positions. This is known as dead arm syndrome neck, nerve root involvement can give neck pain and spasm and symptoms down the arm into the hand depending upon which nerve roots of the cervical spine are involved. Nerve "popping" can indicate subluxation of the ulnar nerve at the elbow, which can give distal symptoms of hand weakness if associated with nerve compression, as well as abnormal sensation in the hand especially the little and ring fingers. An injured nerve that was repaired after laceration can give the feeling of pain that radiates up and down the arm and be associated with wean=kness and numbness into the hand or forearm. Nerve recovery after a laceration can take months or years depending upon how high up the forearm or arm the injury and repair was. Sometimes in very far proximal ( towards the shoulder) injury, recovery never fully occurs and recovery is also age and general health dependent ( i.e. Smokers and diabetics vs healthy fit 20 year olds ). ...Read more

Pinched shoulder nerve (last 3mo) with moderate numbness/tingling in my hand but with care it feels better now. Is it healing itself, can it heal?
Should improve: Nerves can, and usually do, heal themselves. It depends on the nature and cause of the damage in the first place. If it feels better, you can almost certainly assume that the nerve is healing itself. Serial evaluations by your health care provider are important, to make sure that no permanent damage is occurring, or has occurred. ...Read more
