You're OK.: Anxiety can make you imagine that the worst of the worst can, happen. Not true in reality. Your heart doesn't stop-- you would be dead. Your extreme anxiety is your real enemy. It is not uncommon to experience one's body jolting awake when overly tired or stressed. Many people do including me. Relax, you are ok. When it happens: Angina means heart pain which is much much more likely to occur in older people and during physical exertion while panic attacks are often random, or due to some specific trigger such as supermarket/closed space likely elevator etc...During a panic attack, the symptoms are quite like angina. Unlikely: You need to be checked by your primary care generally one sided numbness and pain can be as a result of neurological issues rather than hypoglycemia, one way to answer yourself is: do all the symptoms go away if you drink a glass of orange juice?
