When's the earliest you can tell if you are pregnant? And what are the options to not carry on with the pregnancy e.g abortion
2 weeks, 2 options: A home pregnancy test will reliably turn positive about 2 weeks after conception, around the same time you'll be missing your period. There can still be false negatives at this time though, so a repeat 2 weeks later can be helpful. A pregnancy can be aborted medically (using the mifepristone + misoprostol pill) or later on can be aborted with a surgical procedure through the vagina/cervix. ...Read more

My ex and I had sex on the 26th, 10 days ago. She took a test yesterday the 5th. Is it possible to tell if she's pregnant by me this early?
Maybe: Our bodies are amazingly set up to make babies, so anything is possible. However, this one might be a stretch. Assuming she was ovulating the day you had sex, there could be miniscule amounts of beta-hcg in her system. She would have to have a quantitative blood test now and again in 48 hours. If the number doubles, then she has a pregnancy. Bottom line: I highly doubt it. ...Read more
