Plantar fasciitis.: The most common cause of heel pain is plantar fasciitis: an inflammation of a thick band of tissue that helps hold up the arch of your foot. It attaches to your heel bone, and is usually the most painful for the first few steps in the morning, or after sitting a long time and then standing quickly. The bottom of my foot near my heel is very painful and I can't put my full weight on it. Ibuprofen not helping?

Plantar fasciitis??: Your heel pain is a protective mechanism designed to limit the amount of pressure and damage to your heel. If you continue to walk on it the damage will increase and cause further pain. Taking the ibuprofen may aid in some of the reactive inflammation but it does not attack the problem, in fact it may only mask the problem. You need to have an x-ray and evaluation to assess the true problem. ...Read more

Knot so Fast.: You must consider two things. Is the knot located in a weight bearing or non-weight bearing area of the foot. Pebble in your shoe: A wart. Or a callus or corn, your body's attempt to make padding against lots of friction/pressure. When it gets large enough, it's a self-made pebble in your shoe. Soften your skin during bath/shower or soaking your foot. Rub pumice stone or medium-grit sandpaper to remove old built-up skin. If you don't have nerve damage to your foot, use salicylic acid or duct tape. Repeat. Good luck! ...Read more

I have small white dots of skin on bottom of my foot in multiple spots. Dots have small holes, and holes aren't deep. It's not painful. What is it?

Athlete's foot: Is the first thing I would suspect. The fungi eat skin, and can leave holes. Tinea pedis (to sound nerdy) is easily fixed with a topical anti fungal, such as tolnaftate. Go for the generics, they're cheaper.

Have you changed what your feet see? Walking on hot sand barefoot? New flip flops? If there's anything new, try changing back.

If these don't work, and the problem persists, see a doctor. ...Read more

I have a PFS in my Rknee, when I sitdown for a period I feel that my foot's bottom feeling tierd or painful is that normal with this condition?

Not likely: Patellofemoral syndrome is caused by the knee cap not riding exactly in its groove, causing pain when the knee cap is closer to the knee joint, such as when you are sitting with your knee bent, or going up stairs. This should not cause pain in your foot. I suggest seeing your doctor if this happens often. Maybe you have some other sort of condition causing both the knee pain and foot pain. ...Read more
